The comedy show fundraiser will be on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104 St., in the auditorium (Room 6120). The entrance fee will be $5 per person. The Phi Beta Lambda Business Club has set a goal of $2,000 for the fundraiser.

The charity money will go to Camillus House, a non-profit agency service that offers assistance to the poor and homeless. They offer multiple programs such as housing. Their programs help the poor and homeless by offering them food, showers, and even a place to sleep.

“Camillus House is a great way to give to our community and to those who are less fortunate,” said Hilda Lorenzo, accounting student and Vice President of the Phi Beta Lambda Business Club.

The club’s event includes a show by a professional comedy group called The Comedy School Dropouts. Everything in their show is improvised on the spot. They involve the audience members by asking questions or scenarios helping them create the show as it goes.

The Comedy School Dropouts showed their skills at last year’s Phi Beta Lambda Business Club’s fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

“Last year’s experience was a memorable night for my sense of humor,” said Guillermo Gallegos, president of the club during the 2015-2016 school year.

The Phi Beta Lambda Business Club is an organization that shows students all aspects of the business world through community and campus involvement. For more information about the Phi Beta Lambda Business club visit their website
