IRMA GUTIERREZ / THE REPORTER For the Children: “The Tower of Snow,” a new bronze sculpture to mark the 50th anniversary of Operacion Pedro Pan which resulted in over 14,000 children leaving Cuba for the United States, was unveiled on Oct. 19 near Miami Dade College’s Freedom Tower.
