New Look: Lieutenant Joe Schillaci, a 30 year veteran with the City of Miami Police Department, spoke to students at the North campus of Miami Dade College on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 to discuss many of the lessons he learned during his extensive career. Reaching For The Heavens: On Nov. 2, the Performance Arts department presented “Come to the Cabaret,” the Musical Theatre Showcase at the Black Box Studio Theatre on North Campus. The show featured a talented ensemble of 16 students performing a number of selection, including songs by famed composers Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin and George Gershwin. New Beginnings: Mangrove seedlings have sprung up at each of Miami Dade College’s campuses. Eco-Exhibits like this one at Wolfson Campus are a part of the Earth Ethics Institute’s Reclamation Project, and the seedlings will eventually be planted to help rebuild local ecosystem.
