First National English Honor Society At Miami Dade College

Miami Dade College’s first National English Honor Society, Sigma Kappa Delta, Lambda Zeta Chapter in North Campus became official in August.

“It is a great way for students who are very interested in the liberal arts to be recognized for their excellence in English and writing,” said Carmen Bucher, one of the advisers of the club.

Members will get involved in poetry readings, plays, art shows, writing contests and learn about transfer scholarships. All students who have taken ENC 1101 and received a grade of B or higher and taken a creative writing, literature, journalism or script writing course are invited to apply.

For more information, contact Carmen Bucher at cbucher@mymdc.edu or at (305) 237-1350.
