New History Club At Kendall Campus

Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus has a new club dedicated to history. The MDC History Club was founded on Oct. 9.

The club will discuss history, plan trips to historic sites in Miami, start projects such as discovering graves and records and fundraise through bake sales.

Kendall Campus students Angela Rey, Cameron Kabjanen and Shannon Tuckwell created the club with professor Sandra Castillo after Rey discovered the absence of a history club on campus.

The club’s first meeting is yet to be announced. They are currently inviting students to join the club on a trip to Fort Jefferson.

For more information, contact Angela Rey at angela.rey001@mymdc.net or at (305) 903-6686.
