North Campus Alumna Selected As A 2018 Rising Star in PR

North Campus alumna Danyelle R. Carter was selected as a 2018 Rising Star in PR by The PR News Group.

She received the honor for her work with women on civic and social issues, which includes co-leading the global communication team for the women’s march and launching the first multicultural congressional caucus while serving under Congresswoman Yvette Clarke in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Carter is the communications director at Her Communications Agency and previously served as a digital press secretary at the U.S. House of Representatives.

She studied mass communications and journalism at North Campus and graduated in 2011. She received her bachelor’s degree in comparative women’s studies from Spelman College.

“I feel so proud because I know that it’s a lot of work to be recognized at a national level, as an individual and woman of color,” Carter said.
