Health Care Scholarship Open Until June 30

The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship is currently open to students studying a medical-related major.

The scholarship, a $1,000 prize, is available to students with a passion for creating diverse and  adequate treatment options for patients with mental health and substance abuse problems.

Students must submit an application, a 500-word essay describing their personal experiences with substance abuse disorder—either as someone who survived, helped someone recover or witnessed the challenges of the illness—and share why the applicant wishes to enter the healthcare field.

Eligible applicants must be at least 18, a U.S citizen or permanent resident and currently attend an accredited college or university.

For the application and information regarding the scholarship, visit www.therecoveryvillage.com/scholarships/#gref.

Deadline to apply is June 30.
