Miami Dade College To Present Gender And Sexuality Workshop

Hialeah Campus, 1780 W. 49th St., will host a lecture workshop entitled Understanding Gender and Sexual Orientation on Nov. 12 at 11:15 a.m. in Room 5101A.

The workshop will teach students to engage in meaningful discussions on sexuality and gender from various beliefs and perspectives.   

The event is hosted by the YES Institute, a non-profit organization that aims to address high suicide rates among LGBTQ+ youth through educational workshops. 

They conduct nearly 200 presentations every year for students, schools, psychologists and healthcare providers on gender and orientation. 

The event is free and open to the public.
