Breakthrough Miami Accepting Tutoring Volunteers

Breakthrough Miami logo.Breakthrough Miami, a 20-year-old non-profit organization that provides academic enrichment to students, is accepting volunteers on a rolling basis.

Volunteers are charged with facilitating educational and creative sessions, cleaning the facility and taking daily attendance throughout the school year for middle and high school students at several schools in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools vicinity.

They can participate during the school year, until April, or during the six-week summer program that is hosted every year.

Interested applicants must select any one of five schools that Breakthrough Miami works with and fill out an application that corresponds to that location. Students must also submit high school or college transcripts. If the student is under 18, they must undergo a background check.

For more information, visit Breakthrough Miami’s website at breakthroughmiami.org/volunteers/.
