Jazz Guitarist To Perform At Wolfson Campus Music Series

Lindsey Blair, a Miami-based jazz guitarist, will perform at the Jazz at Wolfson Presents series at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., on Feb. 19 at noon in Room 1261.

He will perform a series of original jazz compositions with a jazz ensemble. 

Blair, originally from Indianapolis, is a renowned guitarist that has performed with the likes of Maynard Ferguson, Gloria Estefan and Jess Berlin during his career. He was also named Best Jazz Artist by the Miami New Times in 2011. 

He began performing at age 10, and was inspired by jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery. Three years later, Blair was part of his first band, Blues Underground.  

Blair also graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s in music degree in studio music and jazz instrumental performance with a focus on jazz guitar. 

Jazz at Wolfson Presents is the longest running free jazz series in Miami-Dade County. It is a year-round series that brings various jazz performers to Miami Dade College.

The event is free and open to the public.
