Reclaim The Reins Of Your Health And Change Your Life

Do you suffer from an assortment of seemingly unrelated health symptoms? These can include acne, bloating, heartburn, fatigue, migraines, and joint pain. During the past decade, I’ve come to find these symptoms are common among people of all ages.

Many of us are afflicted by one or more of these health conditions regularly, but how many of us have discovered the root cause of these uncomfortable episodes? Many of us use readily available over-the-counter medications as a bandaid. You get by—so long as you have various meds at the ready.

But many of these symptoms don’t need to be treated with medication, you just need to make the sacrifices necessary to alter your diet. And I mean not just the latest fad—your perpetual diet.

Shortly after graduating from high school in 2010, I was forced to adapt. I began feeling ill; headaches and migraines became an almost-daily occurrence.

For reference, I’m 5’8” so my advised weight is 155 pounds. However, by the age of 23, I weighed about 210 pounds. At 27, my body was breaking down regularly and I found myself spending days in my bedroom, hoping to sleep the pain off. I lost my vigor and mental acuity, and I was experiencing constant turmoil.

I finally had enough in 2017 and visited several specialists, but none could identify my ailment. They prescribed various forms of medication that didn’t help. So after years of enduring the pain, I decided to find my own solution.

My research led me to read The Hidden Plague by Tara Grant. I followed up on what I read by commencing a strict elimination diet. The first foods I excluded were wheat and gluten products since a skin test performed by my allergist showed that I have a strong allergy to grasses.

Corn, oats, rice, sugarcane, and wheat are all in the grass family, so over the course of a year, I gradually weaned them off one-by-one. Curiously, I began losing two pounds per week—without any exercise. My newfound weight-loss was encouraging and did wonders for my self-esteem and physical energy.

As I write to you now, I’m still affected by my bizarre undiagnosed health condition—albeit, with a manageable level of discomfort and with almost all the symptoms in remission if I avoid offending foods. I took a leap of faith by experimenting with diet changes and found that the results were worth the sacrifices I made.

Doctors won’t always give you all the answers. It’s up to you to ensure that you receive the best treatment possible. Seek a doctor’s advice and do the extra detective work to find the root causes of your medical ailments. It’s possible that you will improve how you feel daily and ultimately change your life course.
