MDC Student Awarded $1,000 National Cyber Foundation Scholarship

Ievgeniia Ieromenko, a cybersecurity student at North and Wolfson campuses, has been awarded the National Cyber Foundation Scholarship.

The $1,000 award is based on her performance at the CyberStart virtual competition earlier this year. It’s being applied toward Ieromenko’s tuition at Miami Dade College during the fall semester.

As part of the scholarship, Ieromenko is participating in a 120-hour SANS Cyber Foundation Academy course to learn about computer hardware, programming and forensics.

“The most exciting part of receiving this scholarship is being granted access to the SANS Cyber Foundations Academy course,” Ieromenko said. “I’m really enjoying going through the material.”
