The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education for Hispanic Serving Institutions Division awarded Miami Dade College three grants totaling more than $14 million over the next five years.
Miami Dade College’s School of Science will receive $5 million for its STEM Strategies for Maximizing Achievement, Retention and Transfer project that offers research internships and field experience.
North Campus’ STEM Pathways for Acceleration, Completion and Transfer Success project will receive $5 million to fund supplemental instructions, internships, renovating an existing lab and building a new STEM Student Center.
Wolfson Campus will receive $4,449,913 for the STEM Legacy project to establish the STEM AXIS Center, a resource hub for students, providing mentoring and tutoring.
