The Reporter has expanded its social footprint to include social media giant TikTok.
@mdcthereporter_ will augment the paper’s Twitter and Instagram accounts—both @mdcthereporter—with videos that show behind-the-scenes snippets of the newspaper and will update the Miami Dade College community with news and events.
Videos will be posted several times a week. The initiative will be spearheaded by freshman Emily Paz, a criminal justice major in The Honors College at North Campus. She was recently selected as the paper’s director of marketing.
“It’s a way to encourage people to come to our page and see a whole other side of us, other than just the stories they see online,” Paz said.
