Miami Film Festival Partners With Goya To Host Short Film Competition

In preparation for its 40th anniversary, the Miami Film Festival at Miami Dade College announced a new film competition.

The Goya Quick Bites competition will offer a $2,500 cash prize to a short film of less than 20-minutes that best demonstrates the importance of food and culinary experiences in our culture and daily lives.

“Miami Film Festival has long been interested in the intersection between the culinary and artistic worlds,” said Nicolas Calzada, the MFI’s interim executive director. “We’re grateful to Goya for this opportunity.”

The winning film will be announced during the awards night ceremony at the 2023 Miami Film Festival in early March.

Entries are due on Nov. 9 and may be submitted through this link: https://bit.ly/3whpBdF.
