Single Stop Gets Increase In Bus Passes For MDC Students

An agreement between Miami-Dade County’s Easy Card Services Transportation Program and Miami Dade College, has given Single Stop 50 additional monthly passes for students struggling to afford public transportation.

Prior to the agreement, which was made in January, Single Stop offered 30 monthly bus passes college-wide. That number will now increase to 80. 

“[A bus pass] gives you the freedom to do whatever you want with finding a job or getting a job, going back and forth to and from classes, the library, wherever you need to go,” said Single Stop Director Janet Mapp. 

Students interested in obtaining a pass must complete Single Stop’s intake form and provide a state-issued ID, show proof of income and a social security number.
