Mike Lowell Visits MDC Baseball

Former six-time MLB All Star, two-time World Series Champion, and World Series MVP, Mike Lowell, spoke to Miami Dade College baseball team on May 2. Lowell shared stories and gave advice from his collegiate career to his time in the Major Leagues. The power-hitting infielder attended Coral Gables Senior High School and played under head coach Danny Price at Florida International University where he graduated in 1997. Lowell was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1995, but played most of his career with the Florida Marlins (1999-2005), and the Boston Red Sox (2006-2010). He was a part of the 2003 Florida Marlins World Series team, and the 2007 Boston Red Sox World Series, where he was crowned the World Series MVP.
