Victor Vazquez is new chairperson for the Department of Social Sciences at Wolfson Campus. The former chairperson, German Muñoz, retired on Aug. 16.
For six years, Vazquez was a full- time faculty member at Wolfson Campus, teaching both American history and world history. He earned a doctorate in philosophy in history at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he worked as a full-time administrator as well as a part-time faculty member for 17 years.
“Muñoz was my boss and mentor. I am looking forward to working with the faculty and just try to see what we can do better,” Vasquez said. “We are building on Muñoz’s legacy.”
