Study Abroad Offers 16 New Summer Programs

Miami Dade College’s study abroad office is adding 16 programs in Haiti, India, Indonesia, China, England, France, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Ecuador, Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan and Israel.

The programs will take place during the 2017 summer terms. Students are eligible to receive MDC credit while abroad. The areas of study range from humanities to biology.

Basic requirements to partake in study abroad opportunities including  minimum 2.5 GPA as well as good academic, financial and judicial standing at MDC. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

“[Study abroad] opens their eyes to the world,” said Carol Reyes, director of global student programs.  

Reyes said one benefit of a study abroad experience is that students become more self-reliant and confident once they return.
