Teaching Internship Available To Programmers

Code Explorers is inviting Miami Dade College students to intern and volunteer with them this semester to encourage children’s interest in technology, computer science, architecture and engineering. Internships involve teaching pre-kindergarten to middle school students the fundamentals of engineering through an innovative academic curriculum at the after school program.

“You see how they work at a young age and it’s great,” said Arcel Garcia, 23, an engineering major at North Campus and Code Explorers intern. “We use coding apps to teach, and you learn as you teach the kids.”

Prospective interns and volunteers must register at https://mdc.optimalresume.com under the Jobs and Internships tab.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information, contact Maria de Pena at (954) 254-9502 or info@codeexplorers.org.
