Nonprofit Links Young Cuban Americans To Their Roots

CubaOne, a donation funded organization, invites Cuban Americans interested in traveling to Cuba for an all expense covered trip including flight, meal and lodging. Ten participants are selected based on an essay application that explains how Cuba inspires them and how they’re influenced by the country.

The organization believes young Cuban Americans should be given the opportunity to explore their ancestry by visiting Cuba and creating their own meaningful relationships with the country and its people.

Travelers will be able to explore the cities of Havana and Trinidad as well as visit community projects in Pinar del Río. Those selected will stay in local Cuban homes in order to experience family life in Cuba.

Applicants must be Cuban American between the ages of 22 and 35 to be considered eligible.
