Health Insurance Enrollment Assistance Is Available At All MDC Campuses

Enroll America, an independent nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, offers one-on-one assistance in choosing a health plan for MDC students and their families at all campuses, thanks to the organization’s Get Covered campaign. The enrollment series will run until Jan. 31, 2017 and is free and available to the public.

Certified assisters from local organizations such as the Epilepsy Foundation and the Health Council of South Florida will table on campus on different occasions in order to help students understand their options for a low cost health insurance plan as well as to assist with the application processes.

Interested students with existing insurance are welcome to visit to see if there is a better option that fits their budget.

Students are encouraged to make an appointment by calling the Health Council of South Florida at (786) 708-0836 or the Epilepsy Foundation at 1 (877) 553-7453. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
