Traffic Jam At The Freedom Tower Parking Lot

Texas-based composer Steve Parker will perform his interactive piece Traffic Jam at the Freedom Tower Parking Lot, 600 Biscayne Blvd., on Dec. 3 at 4 p.m.

“The absurdity of transportation and the notion that constitutes musical performances…instruments and venues are being challenged in Traffic Jam,” Parker said. “The parking lot actually becomes the venue.”

Creating music with bikes and cars, Parker engages the audience in various ensemble pieces utilizing horns and beeps. To encourage the audience’s participation, bumper stickers and air fresheners will be given away.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
