Paid Internship At The U.S. Department Of Transportation

The application for the 2017 Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG) with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration is now open. The program, geared toward exposing women, individuals with disabilities and minorities to the field, runs from June 5 to Aug. 11. Intern positions are available across the United States.

Participants will be exposed to hands-on training on transportation related issues. They will also receive a stipend of $4,000 for the 10-week period.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship and enrollment in a degree program at an accredited institution.

Those interested must fill out an application form on the STIPDG website, submit a copy of their college transcript and résumé. as well as a writing sample before the deadline on Jan. 20, 2017. Priority will be given to those who hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
