Bosque-Blanco Appointed To Miami Dade College’s District Board Of Trustees

Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Maria Bosque-Blanco to Miami Dade College’s Board of Trustees.

Bosque-Blanco, who will serve a four-year term, was sworn in at Tuesday’s BOT meeting by  Nushin G. Sayfie, the Chief Judge at the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.

“It’s extremely exciting to be appointed to the Board of Trustees,” she said. “It was a little nerve-wracking not knowing exactly what to expect at this first meeting, but just the nature of the conversation was just comfortable. So I look forward to continuing to serve.”

Bosque-Blanco has served as a guidance counselor at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy for the past six years. Prior to that, she served as a school psychologist in the Broward County School Board for 15 years. She is also a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in school psychology from Barry University. Bosque-Blanco also acquired a specialist degree in school psychology from Barry University in 2002.
