Don’t Marry A Theory That You Can’t Prove

In the scientific community, the evolutionary theory is accepted by most except a small number of scientists. Even though many problems concerning the evolutionary theory remain unsolved.

The best example of its shortcomings is in the book Mind & Cosmos which argues that the theory fails to adequately explain critical aspects, such as consciousness and reason.

That brings up a crucial point: why do so many people accept theories without giving them further thought?

The scientific community has conformed to accepting the evolutionary theory in hopes of explaining one part of a gigantic puzzle.

Don’t misinterpret my words, I’m not saying that creationists’—people that believe everything was created by a divine authority—theory provides a better explanation of reality.

I simply don’t understand why humanity can’t say that we don’t know the answer because we can’t prove either theory?

All we’d have to do is keep investigating until we have a breakthrough about how everything came to be.

Why should unexplainable theories be taught to children around the world?

Unfortunately, religious and scientific groups marry a theory and defend it to the grave as their truth.

Knowing that none of it makes any sense because these theories only provide superficial answers to deeper level questions that can’t be proven.

This only increases the possibility of someone creating a new theory to explain our reality.

People need to be humbled and acknowledge there are many things we don’t know and might never truly get the chance to understand about the world, but that is okay. We don’t need to know everything right here and now.

Some things will be revealed with time.

We must not be so attached to any particular theories because that will lead us to defend them and ignore their shortcomings. As well as preventing us from opening our mind to thinking critically and growing intellectually.

Like Socrates once said, “I know that I know nothing.”

That is a great starting point to discovering the truth. We must always keep the lens through which we look at the world clean in order to find the truth.

If yours is damaged with flawed theories, go get new glasses.
