DowntownMiami Market & Movie Event To Be Hosted At Wolfson Campus

Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave, will host the DowntownMiami Market & Movie night at the Kyriakides Plaza on Jan. 11 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The evening will begin with a performance by Guitars Over Guns, an instrumental and vocal music group, at 5 p.m.

Local vendors will be present selling art, crafts and treats. There will also be games and workshops, such as a Spanish class held by the Continuing Education Department from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and a dog fashion show from 6:30 to 7 p.m. 

Pet registration begins at 5 p.m. The Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department will be present for people looking to adopt animals.

A screening of Slumdog Millionaire, the 2008 British drama, will conclude the night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 The event, which is free and open to the community, aims to “support our students and bring people together to have a good time,” said Melissa Dynan, the business development manager for the College.

Juliette Bryant

Juliette Bryant, 20, is an accounting major in the Honors College at Kendall Campus. Bryant, who graduated from Florida Christian School in 2023, will serve as a Briefing Editor for The Reporter during the 2024-2025 school year. She aspires to be a certified public accountant and eventually a chief financial officer.
