Jazz Concert At Wolfson Campus
New World School of the Arts will present Jazz Combo Concert at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., Room 1261 on April 25 at 7 p.m.
The concert will showcase NWSA High School students of the instrumental music division performing various jazz genres such as hard-bop, bebop, fusion and Latin jazz. They will perform original and well-known jazz compositions.
“The students in the jazz division of instrumental music have collectively put so much time into this concert through rehearsals and individual practice,” said Angelo Coelho, a senior at NWSA studying jazz in the instrumental music division.“It stands out as a testament to our admiration and diligence towards the art form we love.”
Students will perform in small groups ranging from two to four, and will also feature Tim Warfield, an American jazz saxophonist.
The concert is part of NWSA’s bi-annual jazz combo concert for high school students, a series that allows them to perform in front of an audience as part of their training.
This event is free and open to the public.
