Kendall Campus To Host Volleyball Camp In July

Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104th St., is hosting a volleyball camp for girls between the ages of 7 and 18 from July 15-18.

The camp, which has been held for more than 20 years, will teach the fundamentals of volleyball, such as setting, passing, serving, hitting, blocking, defense, conditioning and teamwork.

“It’s our signature… we have a great tradition in athletics, especially in volleyball,” said Head Volleyball Coach Origenes “Kiko” Benoit, who will be leading the camp alongside assistant coaches Daniela Tobar and Yolanda Delgado.

Athletes must come dressed in volleyball attire—T-shirts, shorts, sneakers and knee pads—and bring lunch or money to purchase food.

Activities will be held at the gym, Room G-210, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp fee is $250 per person.

Upon the completion of the camp, participants will receive an MDC 2024 volleyball T-shirt.
