Miami Film Festival Accepting Applications For CinemaSlam Film Competition

Applications for the CinemaSlam Film competition are open until Jan 17. 

Hosted by the 2023 Miami Film Festival that runs from March 3 to 12, the competition rewards $1,000 to six to ten films created by students as part of their collegiate coursework. 

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited Florida college or university. Eligible films must have been completed no earlier than Jan. 1 and have a runtime of 20 minutes or less. 

Submissions for the competition require the name of the applicant’s college or university, the course for which the film was made and the name and email of the course’s professor. 

Competition finalists will be selected by a jury of business executives during the MFF. Results will be announced on March 5.
