Miami Selfie Museum Features A Variety Of Backdrops Perfect For Your Instagram Feed

It’s no surprise that the Miami Selfie Museum has become the new craze for Gen-Z and Instagram enthusiasts alike because the venue’s colorful backdrops pop out in any picture.

The Miami Selfie Museum, located in Wynwood at 179 N.W. 25th Street, serves as a photography studio with a multitude of trendy art installations—created by local artists—and professional studio lights to capture the perfect picture (or selfie) for any social media site.

“No more hunting around for the best Wynwood Instagram walls because we’ve put them all under one roof,” proclaims the museum’s own website.

Known as Florida’s first selfie museum, the 3,000-square-foot space currently features more than 25 installations, murals, local art and creative backdrops. You will find everything from yellow gumball machines, a Wynwood-esque graffiti-style smiley face wall, a yellow bathtub complete with a rubber duck, a wall full of donuts and a pink telephone calling station.

Although the museum is permanent, its installations constantly change to keep the vibe fresh during every visit.

The museum opened its doors on July 7 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. A mask must be worn on the premises, guests must stay 6-feet apart, hand sanitizer is offered at the entrance and tickets are for hourly reservations only to limit the amount of guests.

New York City, Los Angeles, Denver and Seattle have opened similar museums.

The Miami Selfie Museum is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission for adults is $29 during the week and $34 on the weekend. Admission is free for children 4 and younger and $22 for ages 5 to 12. Students can get a 10% discount with a valid ID. Tickets should be purchased online because in-person purchases are subject to availability.
