North Campus Selects New Director Of Recruitment Services

Khalil Guerra was appointed as the new director of recruitment services at North Campus on Sep. 25. 

Guerra will lead recruitment efforts and assist the high school students with dual enrollment. 

“I love higher education. I feel like this is where I belong,” Guerra said. “I’m excited for what is to come in this position.”

Prior to his appointment, Guerra worked as a pre-college advisor at North Campus from June of 2019 to March of 2021, providing academic guidance and support to students. He then worked as a senior academic advisor until September of 2023.

The 28-year-old will continue to serve as an adjunct faculty in the social sciences department teaching courses such as SLS1510 and SLS 1401, which he has done since August of 2022. 

Guerra earned a bachelor’s degree in television production and journalism in 2016 and a master’s degree in mass communication and media studies two years later from Murray State University.

Andrea Briones

Andrea Briones, 20, is a mass communication/journalism major in The Honors College at North Campus. Briones, who graduated from Youth Co-Op Preparatory High School in 2023, will serve as Social Media Director and a news writer for The Reporter during the 2024-2025 school year. She aspires to work in the public relations field and be a content creator.
