NWSA Opera Theatre Ensemble To Perform At Wolfson Campus

The New World School of the Arts Opera Theatre Ensemble will perform scenes from renowned operas and operettas at the Wolfson Auditorium, 300 N.E 2nd Ave., Room 1261, on Oct. 26 and Oct 27. at 7 p.m.

It will feature Italian compositions, including: selections from Gioachino Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Cinderella), the Sull’aria duet from Mozart’s Le Nozze Di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) and the Bella Figlia Dell’Amore (Beautiful Daughter of Love) quartet from Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto

Scenes will be accompanied by historical and modern backdrops, lighting, a pianist and minimal props and costumes, so that the focus remains on the vocal performance.

“We hope that people from our MDC community will come and support and enjoy the work that the students have been gearing up to do,” said Daniel Andai, the dean of music at NWSA.
