President of Western Union Global Money Transfer To Speak At The Idea Center

The Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series will present guest speaker Odilon Almeida on Feb. 27 at 9:45 a.m. at the The Idea Center, 315 N.E. Second Ave., Room 8503.

Odilon Almeida, president of Western Union Global Money Transfer, will explain the Western Union’s business model of success, and how it has adapted through stock market needs and technological advancements throughout the company’s last 160 years.

In his 17-year run with Western Union, he’s negotiated contracts with more than 200 countries and is currently non-executive chairman director of the Compliance and Business Conduct Committee at Millicom International.
