The Idea Center Appoints New Chief Program Officer
Sissi Rodriguez has been selected as the chief program officer at The Idea Center at Miami Dade College. She started her role on Feb.14.
Rodriguez will focus on recruiting more students who want to focus on entrepreneurship.
“I would like to promote the Idea Center and help students become more confident with any dream they put their heart and brain into,” Rodriguez said. “We want more students to come and show us what brilliant ideas they have. Students are always so creative with things the world needs that we can’t see ourselves.”
Prior to joining The Idea Center, Rodriguez served as an academic program development manager at Wolfson Campus from 2019 to 2022 and as the assistant to the Eduardo J. Padrón Campus President for special projects from 2018 to 2019.
Throughout her career, she has also served as a teaching fellow for the Center for Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania, executive director and trustee at Roots of Hope and as an international student advisor at The Art Institutes.
Rodriguez obtained a bachelor’s degree in Spanish language and literature and a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of Florida in 2009. Three years later, she graduated from Michigan State University with a Juris Doctor degree in international law and legal studies.
