The Reporter’s Kendall Campus Bureau Chief Selected To Intern At CBS4

Melissa Adan, the Kendall Campus Bureau Chief for The Reporter, has been selected to intern at CBS4 this summer.
Adan, 19, will write news scripts, log tapes, setup interviews for reporters, shadow producers, and respond to callers of the CBS hotline. She interned at Univision last summer, working on the assignment desk for the evening news.
The 19-year-old aspiring journalist spent the past two years sharpening her skills at The Reporter, first as a briefing writer than as a senior writer. Adan wrote stories ranging from the dismissal of Head Softball Coach Carlos Caro to the rescue of seven ducklings that had fallen into a sewer system at Kendall Campus.
Adan, who graduated from the Honors College at Miami Dade College in April with a 3.7 GPA, plans to continue studying broadcast journalism this fall at Boston University.
