The Rocky Horror Picture Show Comes Alive For Students At Arts & Letters Day

Miami Dade College students are encouraged to bring their movie props to the interactive film showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show taking place on April 4 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. during Arts & Letters Day at Kendall Campus, 11011 SW 104th St., Room K-413.

Cinema buffs and Kendall Campus English professors Michel de Benedictis and Cary Ser will be spearheading the presentation as they engage the audience in an interactive cult film where the audience plays a part.

Students are asked to bring props such as rubber gloves, noisemakers, party hats, flashlights, bells and even rolls of toilet paper and pieces of toast to use during the appropriate scenes of the film.

“A roll of Scott toilet paper [may be used] to throw when someone yells “Great Scott!” or a piece of toast can be tossed when a toast is called for,” said sponsor of Arts & Letters Day, Marta Magellan. “This is something every college student needs to experience just once.”

Costumes are also highly encouraged. However, no rice or confetti is allowed.
