Metromorphosis And Storybytes Win CMA Apple Awards
Storybytes, the student-led multimedia platform at Kendall Campus, won eight Apple Awards in the Two-Year Colleges Division on March 7 during the 2026 Spring National College Media Convention.
The awards, announced in New York City, consider content published during the 2025–2026 academic year.
Storybytes won first place for Best Newsletter, Best Feature Web Site and Best Single-Media Ad. They also earned first place in the Best Podcast category for Miami Soccer City, a podcast that explores how Miami’s evolving cultural identity has turned the city into a major hub for soccer fans.
“We never really do things for the awards, but it is a nice recognition. It’s a motivation for us to continue moving forward,” said Victoria Cuellar, Storybytes’ editor-in-chief.
Storybytes also received second place in the multimedia ad campaign category and honorable mention in the opinion column, editorial and social media engagement categories.
For the first time, Metromorphosis—the creative arts magazine at Wolfson Campus—received a first place honor in the Best Magazine category.
The publication followed a thematic cycle of personal storytelling and artwork that delved into hope, faith, acceptance and destiny.
Its cover featured the partial headshot of a young woman with a distinctive red tear—won second place in the magazine cover category.
“It feels like a great milestone because this is the first edition I ever created, and the first edition that has won that award,” said Manuel Gomez, editor-in-chief of Volume 38. “Previously, Metromorphosis was more of an open-concept magazine. What makes edition 38 so special is that we followed a structure and a theme, showcasing stories that did not have the fairy tale ending.”
