South Florida Commuter Services Offers Deals For Student Commuters

The South Florida Commuter Services program is offering free emergency taxi rides home, bike locks for cyclists, 50 percent off of bus passes for full-time college students and toll-free 95 express lane use for commuters.

Students who bike, carpool, use the train or bus or walk to school three or more times per week are considered commuters and can join the network of other commuters.

Registration requires name, address, email, transportation of choice and class schedule.

Founded in 1988 by the Florida Department of Transportation, the South Florida Commuter Services program goal is to help students, faculty and staff find safe alternatives to driving alone.
