MDC To Honor Veterans At Wolfson Campus Event On Nov. 8

Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Avenue., will host an event to commemorate Veterans Day on Nov. 8.

The event will kick off at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Veterans Center in Room 1263 at Wolfson Campus that features study spaces and representatives from the office of Veteran and Military Services.

Attendees will then go to the auditorium, Room 1261, to witness a presentation by the color guard, a keynote address by retired Army Colonel Alice Kerr and an orchestra musical tribute.

After the tribute, an outdoor lunch will be held next to the auditorium.

“I’m grateful to our veteran students for their patriotism, willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good,” said Wolfson Campus President Beatriz Gonzalez.
