New Website Features Student Success Stories

Miami Dade College launched a new homepage/website in March for prospective students, current students, faculty and administrators.

The new page is more streamlined. It devotes significant space to successful stories of students, faculty, alumni and the institution. Content, sections, and titles are structured differently.

“We went through a lot of research with 30 plus universities nationwide, including local schools like Florida International University, the University of Miami and Broward College, and found out that this was the layout most common, validated and successful,” said Andrew Seaga, director of college web services at MDC.

The last revamp made was five years ago. MDC typically refreshes its homepage every two to three years with some slight modifications along the way, according to Seaga. There was no extra cost to MDC for the changes.
