Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society Awards

Nine Miami Dade College students from Wolfson, North and InterAmerican campuses have been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society as 2015 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars.

The winners from InterAmerican Campus are Stephany Cerezo, Valentina D’Empaire, Victoria Lella and Maria Ortiz. North Campus winners are Janelys Gonzalez, Alexander Lleonart and Julieanne Ramos. Wolfson Campus winners are Marc Goldberg and Yessica Maltes.

The winners were selected nationwide from more than 1,100 applicants. The selection was based on the applicants’ outstanding academic achievements and leadership potential. The scholars are students that have demonstrated leadership roles by participating in Society programs.

The Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship Program provides Phi Theta Kappa members with financial help in educational expenses while enrolled in associate degree programs.
