Pianist Adam Birnbaum To Perform At Jazz At Wolfson Presents
Jazz pianist Adam Birnbaum will perform at the fourth installation of this year’s Jazz at Wolfson Presents on Nov. 7 at the Wolfson Campus auditorium, 300 N.E. Second Ave., in Room 1261 at 8 p.m.
Birnbaum has released four albums in the United States and Japan, including Three of Mind in 2015, which was recognized by the New York Times and DownBeat magazine. His most recent project, Preludes, received critical acclaim for its fusion of classical music and jazz.
The 46-year-old, who is respected in New York City’s jazz scene, is a graduate of the Juilliard School. He is currently an assistant professor of jazz at Purchase College.
Jazz at Wolfson Presents is an annual live music series at Miami Dade College aimed at honoring the art form of jazz. This year’s edition started on Sept. 3 and will run through April 15.
