We Must Respect The Office Of The President

People need to separate their hatred for President Barack Obama from their behavior toward the Presidency.

Even if you dislike the commander in chief, you still need to respect the office and whoever might be leader.

Tolerance is the only way that respect can be kept and maintained, but it seems as if nobody in the political world wants to be civil anymore and have resorted to employing high school tactics of bickering and gossiping, surreptitiously labeled as “political rhetoric”.

Senators are still debating over the whole birth certificate issue.

Shouldn’t they be doing something productive like passing legislation? (novel idea right?).

No, they are too busy scrutinizing the president’s every thought and move — personal or political. We elect them to make laws, not uncover scandals. This behavior is unacceptable and blatantly disrespectful.

This is the leader of our country and that alone should deserve some form of respect regardless of your political affiliations.
