Wolfson Campus To Host Market & Movie Night

Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave., is hosting a Wolfson Market & Movie night at the Kyriakides Plaza on the first floor of the 2000 building on Sept. 12 from 5-9 p.m.

It will feature workshops, food trucks and local vendors selling jewelry, clothes, crochets, keychains and other items.

A live musical performance by Guitars Over Guns will kick off the event at 5 p.m., followed by a beginners Spanish lesson or Salsa Social at 5:30 p.m.

The celebration will conclude with the New World School of Arts’ dance performance at 6:15 p.m. and a screening of Selena—a 1997 biographical musical about a Tejano music star—at 7 p.m.

Miami-Dade County’s Animal Services will also be present with an on-site pet adoption.

“If I summed it up in one word I would say – ‘engagement’,” said Melissa Dynan, the business development manager for the College. “The event is a fun way for everyone to come together and have a good time.”
